Gauri Foundation works in rural areas and underprivileged communities with unaddressed healthcare need – with a focus to prevent health problems and to facilitate access to health services in their own villages.

Health and Child Welfare:

Founded as a Non Profit Society, Gauri Foundation focusses on enhancement of human health parameters through improved awareness of primary health, hygiene and balanced nutrition for women and children.

As our first initiative towards improvement in basic health parameters of residents living in remote villages, we have set up a fully functional Health Centre in Yadaram village, located about 40 Kms from district headquarters of city of Hyderabad. The health center is staffed by a full time certified Nurse and an experienced Registered Medical Practitioner to attend to the medical needs of village residents. The health center is equipped with facilities to provide primary care to the patients. Further medical advice by qualified doctors is available through Tele-consultation. Diagnostic lab services are made available through a third party service provider offering sample collection service at the Health Center.

Specialist doctors – a Pediatrician and a gynaecologist visit the Health Centre at Yadaram village once every week for regular check-up and follow up treatment.

Gauri Foundation also organizes Medical Camps at the Health Centre by inviting medical teams comprised of senior doctors from specialty hospitals. Such medical camps offer detailed health checkup and screening for disease conditions at an early stage as well as follow up consultation for chronic health conditions to village residents free of cost.

Since its’ foundation in August, 2022, medical camps have been conducted for following therapeutic specialties:

1. Monthly health checkup for children at Health Center for growth parameters
